    Has anyone noticed any negative effects on their liver from eating Koi Pla?

    It’s typically consumed immediately after being prepared without soaking in acid juice for an extended period of time.

    There is a concern that it may transmit liver flukes, potentially leading to cholangiocarcinoma. Additionally, Koi Hoi, a dish made with raw snail meat, has been linked to parasitic flatworm and liver fluke infections in humans and snails and seems to kill 20,000 people annually.
