Ever caught wind of Thailand rounding up rogue iguanas?
Thailand is on a mission, rounding up over 150 rebel iguanas causing chaos in the countryside. These lizards aren’t even from around here, originally coming all the way from Central and South America, but somehow they’ve become trendy pets in Thailand. Now, these party crashers are wrecking farms and messing up the local scene. The wildlife folks, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation, just snagged 134 of these troublemakers in Pattana Nikom, Lopburi, about 160 kilometers north of Bangkok. Another six were caught in Udon Thani, up northeast, and 23 more got busted elsewhere in Thailand. The deal is, these iguanas, whether they made a run for it or got released on purpose, are wreaking havoc on farmers’ crops.
Talk about a wild situation! 😂🦎
