Russian Tourist Swept Away by Wave While Doing Yoga in Thailand
A tragic accident claimed the life of a 24-year-old Russian tourist, Kamilla Beliatskaya, at Koh Samui’s Laad Koh viewpoint in Thailand on Friday. Beliatskaya, who had placed her pink yoga mat on a rock near the shoreline, was swept into the sea by a massive wave as witnesses looked on helplessly. CCTV footage revealed she arrived alone, walking down to the rocky area shortly before the incident. With waves reaching up to nine feet and rough waters already prompting Jet Ski operators to withdraw earlier, the conditions proved deadly. Despite warnings in place across Koh Samui’s beaches, the powerful waves overwhelmed her, marking a somber reminder of nature’s unpredictability.
